Born in San Jose, CA, I have been drawing since I was 3-years-old. Inspired by the works of Monet, Rockwell, Disney, Hanna Barbera, Schulz, and Watterson, I always dreamed of becoming a famous artist cartoonist. I graduated from the Northern Arizona University, in Flagstaff, AZ, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Visual Communications in 1987. My goal was to become a successful, nationally syndicated, comic strip cartoonist.
From 1987-2004, I had various roles in graphic arts and multimedia work as a graphic designer, an illustrator, a lead graphic artist, and an Associate Art Director. In 2004, I started a mural painting business, wrote and illustrated a few children's books, and obtained my Masters degree in Elementary Education by 2008. I worked as a third grade teacher for over a decade, and am currently working to get recognition in the art world as a fine artist.
