The other afternoon I took a double take as I was walking up our long farm driveway in the lightly falling snow, to see and to watch our neighbor the Barred Owl perched on top of a fence post. He was only about 10 feet away.
I did not want to chase him off but I just had to get my camera on. After a few minutes the owl flew up to a branch in a near by tree.
This artwork is based on one of the photographs I took- "On This Snowy Day The Barred Owl Perches."
Life is good when there is nature all around to see.
