For me photographic art is all about making connections. Connections to beauty; nature; the environment; the birds and animals; emotion and landscapes, our inner world, and community. My mother was an avid photographer and growing up in Australia she would take me with her, often to hold the light meter, on day trips into the bush and scrubland to photograph tiny, native orchards.
