This is a photograph of my sister Mara.
Per Wikipedia: A candid photograph is a photograph captured without creating a posed appearance. The candid character of a photo is unrelated to the subject's knowledge about or consent to the fact that photos are being taken, and unrelated to the subject's permission for further usage and distribution. The crucial factor is the actual absence of posing. However, if the subject is absolutely unaware of being photographed and does not even expect it, then such photography is secret photography, which is a special case of candid photography.

Sarah, you did a wonderful job at creating your candid photograph. I love that you chose to do this in black and white, subject (your sister lol) allowing you to shoot this without makeup or jewelry etc. gives so much more to the photograph. Thank you, Sherry! I really appreciate the feedback. Mara always hated being photographed, but hoped I could do something "artsy" with her picture. Artsy wasn't necessary.
